bayern's bad start

Bayern Munich opened their Bundesliga campaign with a shock 1-0 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena yesterday.
Manuel Neuer's glaring error allowed Igor de Camargo to score the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute and spoil Jupp Heynckes' third stint in charge of the Bavarians.
It was Bayern's first opening-day defeat since 2001, which also came against Gladbach and by a single goal.
Elsewhere, defensive failings cost Bayer Leverkusen as they started with a 2-0 defeat to Mainz.
Goalkeeper Fabian Giefer's poor clearance allowed Sami Allagui to open the scoring before half-time and Omer Toprak's late own goal ensured there would be no way back.
