Bayern Munich expertly troll Tottenham over Champions League agony
Bayern Munich's official Twitter account have expertly trolled Tottenham after the North London club sarcastically commiserated the German champions on the end of their winning run.
After Bayern's streak of 10 straight wins came to an end with a 0-0 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt, Tottenham offered a patronising note of sympathy to the Bundesliga champions.
A win for Pep Guardiola's side would have matched Tottenham's record of 11 straight wins, which has stood for 54 years. However when Bayern failed to register the all-important win, Spurs' Twitter account couldn't hide their glee.
Not to be outdone, Bayern Munich's chief tweeter hit back with this zinger: recalling the painful memory for Tottenham fans when Chelsea's Champions League final victory over Bayern cost the club a place in the tournament next season.
That's how you do Twitter ladies and gentleman.
