ARSENAL

  • Go To

PETR CECH: Got down well to Christian Eriksen's shot in the second half but was beaten by Harry Kane's penalty. 6

HECTOR BELLERIN: A constant threat down the right, just lacked incision with his final ball. 7

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI: Fortunate to get away with one miscued clearance early on and delighted Spurs fans with an air-kick after the interval. 6

LAURENT KOSCIELNY: His clumsy tackle on Mousa Dembele gave away the penalty, which ultimately cost Arsenal victory. 5

NACHO MONREAL: Excellent back-post block on Kane to prevent the striker putting Tottenham ahead. 7

GRANIT XHAKA: Failed to connect with a header when free in the box but combative throughout. 7

FRANCIS COQUELIN: Started strongly but faded in the second half. 6

THEO WALCOTT: Hammered one shot against the post but occasionally careless when put into some dangerous positions. 7

ALEX IWOBI: Scuffed his finish when put through in the first half but a creative influence throughout. 7

MESUT OZIL: Delivered the free-kick for Kevin Wimmer's own-goal. Looked Arsenal's most threatening player in the final third. 8

ALEXIS SANCHEZ: Lively as always but not one of his best games. 6

SUBSTITUTES

AARON RAMSEY (for Coquelin, 65 mins): Came on to a rapturous reception and looked sharp. 7

OLIVIER GIROUD (for Iwobi, 69 mins): Headed straight at Lloris when might have done better. 6

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN (for Walcott, 69 mins): Added energy to Arsenal's midfield when they needed it. 7

TOTTENHAM

HUGO LLORIS: Quick to close down an Ozil chance in the second half. Powerless to keep out Wimmer's header. 6

KYLE WALKER: Threatening down the right. Went off with an injury in the second half. 6

JAN VERTONGHEN: A commanding presence and kept Sanchez largely quiet. 7

KEVIN WIMMER: Rusty. Booked early on and put Arsenal ahead with a headed own-goal. 5

DANNY ROSE: Struggled to make as much of an impact going forward as he would have liked. 6

VICTOR WANYAMA: Strong in midfield. Another assured display. 7

ERIC DIER: Recovered well from his poor performance in midweek. 7

MOUSA DEMBELE: His quick feet won the penalty. Dominant in the midfield area. 8

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN: Much better than in recent weeks. Hit the post and should have done better with a half-volley finish in the second half. 7

SON HEUNG-MIN: Found pockets of space but could have been more penetrative. 6

HARRY KANE: Looked a yard off the pace but stepped up when it mattered, converting his penalty confidently. 6

SUBSTITUTES

VINCENT JANSSEN (for Kane, 72 mins): Hard-working but miscued a finish late on. 6

KIERAN TRIPPIER (for Walker, 79 mins): Offered an attacking outlet in the latter stages. 7

HARRY WINKS (for Son, 89 mins): Came on too late to make an impact. 5
