The 31-year-old has completed a deal to join Wasps after nine seasons with The Exiles.

The 21-cap flyer will add further strength to Wasps' pacy back-three ranks, slotting in alongside Tom Varndell, Christian Wade and Elliot Daly.

Tagicakibau has joined Wasps after completing a loan spell with South African Super 15 outfit The Stormers.

"Sailosi has proved himself at the highest level, representing Samoa in three World Cups, and has been viewed as one of the most destructive wingers in the Aviva Premiership," said Wasps rugby director Dai Young.

"As we still have a few niggling injuries in our backline, which have been carried over from last season, when Sailosi became available I felt it was an opportunity we should take.

"I am pleased with the depth and quality we are building in our Wasps squad. Sailosi's experience will really benefit the team and his power and pace will provide another attacking threat in our backline, on top of his solid defensive game."

Tagicakibau made 158 appearances scoring 58 tries for London Irish, leaving rugby director Brian Smith praising his lengthy stint with the club.

"Losi has been a great competitor for London Irish," said Smith. "We would like to thank him for all of his efforts and wish him and his family all the best for the future."
