Brian O’Driscoll has conceded that he would be interested in a coaching role at Leinster after he retires, though it has only been informally discussed.
The Irish rugby legend will bring to an end a glittering rugby career following the conclusion of the Rabo Direct Pro12 season and the all-time record try scorer for Ireland admits that he wants to keep involved in some capacity after the summer.
“I have had a few discussions about some involvement in the club,” he admitted at a press conference today.
“A complete break would be hard and it would be nice to have an involvement of some sorts.”
“Nothing has been formally discussed, but it has been briefly mentioned.”
“I would be honoured,” he added when pressed on what it would mean to remain involved in the provincial set-up.
