Toulouse winger Yoann Huget is facing possible sanctions after footage emerged of him stamping on the face of an opponent during a Top 14 clash with Bordeaux Begles lock Jan Andre Marais.

The incident happened 18 minutes into last Saturday's clash when Huget appeared to lash his studs into the face of the second row.

As yet there has been no sign of a citing or further repercussions but the footage has gone viral.

Huget went on to score the momentum-changing try, with Toulouse running in eventual 23-22 winners after finding themselves 15-9 down with 20 minutes left to play.

Watch the incident below:

Huget's stamp comes in the same week that Dylan Hartley was given a four-week ban for a headbutt.

The Northampton captain was ruled out of the tournament opener against Fiji on September 18 and the trio of warm-up games preceding it after receiving a four-week suspension for head-butting Jamie George of Saracens in Saturday's Aviva Premiership semi-final.

Ireland and Leinster duo of Ian Madigan and Jack McGrath could find themselves in trouble with the citing commissioner after last night's game against the Barbarians at Thomond Park.

The flyhalf used his boot in a ruck on Georgian lock Konstantin MIkautadze and then Jack McGrath followed that up by driving his knee into the second row.

McGrath was yellow carded and Madigan went unpunished. This may not be the last we hear of it.
