Video: 12-year-old Irish rugby player impresses All Black’s Dan Carter

Published 09/04/2013 | 08:51

RONAN O’Gara’s Irish point scoring record could come under threat – from a 12-year-old Dublin boy.

George Morgan, who plays rugby for Terenure College in Dublin, posted a video on YouTube cheekily titled ‘Hey All Blacks check this out’.

He adds: “This is what we can do in Ireland All Blacks with no trick photography.”

George then proceeds to show off his impressive skill set – he kicks and throws the ball around his estate with extreme accuracy.

The video, which has been viewed over 150,000 times since it was uploaded last week, even caught the attention of one of the world’s most famous rugby stars – New Zealand’s Dan Carter.

The legendary all black tweeted the video saying: “Just got sent this. Future AB??? Actually he is Irish so he might be wearing the Green Jersey one day #FutureStar”

12-year-old George, who doesn’t have a Twitter account, used his aunty’s profile to respond saying: “Hi Dan. Thanks for the tweet love2meet u 23rd Nov here in Ireland.P.S this my aunties page George Morgan."

The delighted schoolboy also posted a picture of himself with a sign saying: “Hey Dan your tweet meant the world to me. George Morgan.”
