Toulouse were rocked today by the news that French international Louis Picamoles will join the Northampton Saints next season but the Top 14 giants are reportedly after Irish star Simon Zebo.

Zebo has a French background with his father a native of Martinique and is a fluent French speaker.

The winger is not centrally contracted to the IRFU and his contract is with Munster, which may be pivotal in any negotiations.

Speaking on Off The Ball on Newstalk, former Ireland and Biarritz coach Eddie O'Sullivan said: "I can't imagine that the IRFU would let Simon Zebo leave.

"He's an integral part of the team now, he's the number two full-back, he's one of the starting wings depending on which way the coach wants to go... I can't see him slipping away to France.

"You never know, some of the money floating around in the Top 14 is off the wall. I don't see the IRFU making it easy for him to go.

"We've got a bot of crazy going on with the end of the World Cup and a lot of the Southern Hemisphere guys moving.

"If there is more than a pinch of salt to it, it won't happen that easily.

"It's the first I've heard of it."
