Leinster's comprehensive win over Ulster at the RDS once again shone the spotlight on one of Ireland's most competitive positions.

The all-star back row of Jamie Heaslip, Josh van der Flier and Sean O'Brien was in strong form as Leo Cullen's men bounced back from the Stephen's Day loss to Munster, with talk now turning to how Joe Schmidt will decide to fill his 6, 7 and 8 jerseys come Six Nations time.

Speaking on today's Facebook Live edition of The Left Wing, Luke Fitzgerald opted for the return of one Munster star - but decided to drop an in-form member of Ireland's southern contingent.

"I think Peter O'Mahony will be definitely back in," Fitzgerald said of Joe Schmidt's Six Nations back row.

"He is an outstanding player, an outstanding leader. We all know what he brings to the loose but he is really rated highly for his lineout work.

"There are loads of aspects to Pete's game that make him a key man for Munster and Ireland and I expect him to play a big part in the Six Nations.

"I'm going to go with O'Mahony, O'Brien and controversial, they won't be happy with it down in Munster, but I'm going to go with Jamie Heaslip."

Fitzgerald also dissected Leinster's big win over Ulster and what the re-signing of Jaco Taute means for Munster and Ireland prospect Rory Scannell.
