Many will focus on the potential for Leinster's back-line to explode, but nothing can happen without the front eight doing their job and this front-row battle is full of intrigue.
Brits' all-action play marks him out as one of the game's most agile hookers and one of the fastest in Europe. "He's like a back-three player," declared Leo Cullen this week.
Strauss (pictured), a special projects player, is also a South African, but one who wants to be Irish. With a bald pate like Keith Wood, his enigmatic style is pretty similar to the Clare man and his scintillating form in the past fortnight sets this up as a mouth-watering clash.
