Star pupils in charity hike

This day fortnight, over 100 staff and pupils of St Munchin's College -- alma mater to Keith Wood, Anthony Foley, Marcus Horan, Keith Earls and so many other Munster and Ireland greats -- will undertake a 30km cycle to Killaloe followed by a hike up Maigh Lusa, the highest mountain in Co Clare.

The day will be preceded by a coffee morning at the school on Friday, December 10, between 9.0 and 12.0, and will include a raffle for Heineken Cup tickets for the Munster/Ospreys match two days later.

The aim is to raise much-needed funds for Our Ladies Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, as well as cancer care in counties Limerick and Clare, both of which the Corbally school borders.

For further information please contact the school at 061 348922 or the college website at www.stmunchinscollege.ie twitter at www.twitter.com/stmunchins or on the facebook page www.facebook.com/ pages/St-Munchins-Charity-events/ 106835209385341.

Contributions will be gratefully received at Bank of Ireland, Caherdavin. Acc: 19438387; Sort Code : 90-07-62.
