The World Cup: "There were a lot of positives but a lot of disappointments as well; we really had an opportunity to take it not just a step further, but two steps further -- we really felt we could make the final. We worked incredibly hard to get ourselves in that position but on the day against Wales we didn't perform. It is a regret."
"I have been very encouraged with how he has come through. He is a very intelligent boy in terms of how much responsibility he is able to take on and organise. He is not the finished product, there are a couple of things we still have to work on but he has really stepped up. But you do not replace a player like Paul O'Connell very easily."
"There is definitely a Schalk Burger quality to him, very much so. He has no fear and does not take a backward step for anybody, an outstanding lineout player as well."
Watching the Six
Nations from bed
"I was in hospital for five weeks, being closely monitored by doctors and medical people and watching the Six Nations was very difficult I can tell you, not great for the blood pressure. But thankfully it is behind me now and I feel 100pc again."
