Watch: This Aer Lingus pilot's Fields of Athenry-themed speech for Irish rugby fans will get you in the mood for Six Nations

Irish rugby fans are invading Scotland as Joe Schmidt's men bid to recapture the Six Nations title.

Murrayfield is the destination for the opening clash against Scotland and thousands of Irish fans are already in Edinburgh painting the town green ahead of the match that kicks off at 2.25.

The captain on flight EI3254, which departed Dublin Airport yesterday, had a special welcome for rugby fans on board as the plane made its way to a cruising altitude over ‘The Fields of Athenry’ while they enjoyed views of the ‘small free birds flying’.
