Tommy Bowe returns from 10 weeks on the sidelines to give himself a chance of featuring in the last two games of the Six Nations but his facial hair will vanish.

The Monaghan man posted a pic (above) on twitter with the message: "Sad to say goodbye to the beard after 10weeks of growth but worth it to be back playing again."

Bowe suffered his leg injury during Movember and has clearly decided that it was staying while he was making his recovery.

Bowe has been named in Mark Anscombe's starting XV for tomorrow night's Rabodirect Pro12 clash with the Dragons at Ravenhill which means the facial fluff has to go.

His Ireland team mate Gordon D'Arcy has no such arrangement.
