Three of Joe Schmidt's players have been selected on the Daily Telegraph's Six Nations Team of the Week.

The peerless Johnny Sexton is an unsurprising selection at outhalf, while Paul O'Connell's exploits in the lineout and in the loose see him chosen in the second row and O'Connell's Munster team mate Peter O'Mahony fills the number 6 shirt.

On Sexton's performance, they wrote: "No one would have guessed the Irish 10 had been reluctantly sidelined for almost three months as he kicked France to death in Dublin. Kicked five from five penalties, too."

On O'Connell: "Age does not wither him and the 35-year-old Ireland skipper was at his abrasive best in both set piece and the loose against the French in Dublin."

O'Mahony was at his combative best on Saturday, they wrote: "It was trench warfare against Les Bleus and the Munster flanker was repeatedly the first over the top as Joe Schmidt’s ground out their 18-11 victory."
