Munster coach Anthony Foley says that Simon Zebo is the sort of performer that every player wants to play with.

Foley said that Zebo’s performance against Italy highlighted all that is good in the versatile Corkman.

Foley had feared losing Zebo over the winter as contract talks dragged on but Zebo then committed his future to Munster and signed a contract extension which will keep him there until the summer of 2018.

“He’s a good player. He does the basics really well. I know at times he can get criticised around different things but when he is on the ball he is electric. He creates space for others, he is a player that every other player wants to play with. You can pick a line off him and you know if he sees you or hears he will put it up there for you.

“I think a lot of people would be excited about playing with Simon and I think he showed true value at the weekend,” said Foley at Munster training in University of Limerick today (MON).

Zebo is one of ten Munster players in the Irish squad for the Scottish game on Saturday but he expects some of them to be released for their key Pro12 game against Cardiff Blues on Friday night.
