Some of Ireland’s Six Nations winners paid a visit to some very excited children at the Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin today.
The Irish management and playing squad were today honoured at a State event at Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park and a number of players made their way to the hospital to show off the Six Nations trophy.
Brian O’Driscoll, Cian Healy, Ian Madigan and Jack McGrath made not only the children’s day, but the staff also seemed to be thrilled with the high-profile visitors as the players gladly signed autographs and posed for pictures.
The quartet spent their time going round to the children of all ages with a number of selfies with nurses soon finding their way online.
The players again gave thanks for the widespread support they have received, with the youngsters of Temple Street some of their most fervent supporters.
