Rockwell secured a home date with Castletroy

Rockwell 9
Glenstal Abbey 3
Munster Junior Cup

Rockwell secured a home date with Castletroy in the next round as Glenstal Abbey paid for their early indiscipline at Clanwilliam.

The winners' centre, Liam Casey, punished Glenstal's early infringements in the scrum by landing penalties after five and eight minutes.

Rockwell always had the edge in what was mainly a forward battle, with skipper Killian Farrell leading by example, while John Smyth and Erin McCarthy did well in the line-outs.

Behind the scrum, Ryan Deelemas, Ben Reilly and Joss Murray made the most of the possession won by their dominant pack.

Kevin O'Keeffe gave Glenstal, who go into the losers' section, some hope with a penalty after 18 minutes, but Rockwell were in no mood to let things slip and Casey was on target for the third time 12 minutes before the finish.
