In an entertaining first-half, Roscrea had a five-point lead at the break.  Michael Milne grabbed the second of their tries, with Alan Tynan added the extra scores from the kicking tee.

Jack Culligan put daylight between the sides when he picked from the base of a ruck to run over, while winger Dylan Murphy finished off a fine flowing move to put Roscrea with one foot in the last four.

Gonzaga to their credit stuck manfully to their task and claimed the score of the game with a counter-attack from their own 22 with scrum half Kelly finishing the coast-to-coast move.

It was to be the final score of the game as the champions prevail and will now meet Clongowes for a place in the final.
