Sometimes you just can't knock the 'Rock and that certainly proved the case at Donnybrook yesterday as they ran in a cricket score against St Mary's.
The 50 had been clocked up by the 39th minute, a testament to 'Rock's pack, who were simply unstoppable.
It had taken only five minutes for Blackrock to breach the Mary's line when full-back Zack O'Hagan accelerated away.
A converted try from second-row Jack Dwan followed on seven minutes before John Redmond went over in the corner. A lovely reverse pass from Jack Power then saw O'Hagan race under the posts.
Shane Lynch touched down before Nicholas Timoney bustled over. 'Rock completed the half with their seventh try when Eoin Fanning stretched over on the left-hand side, with Dillon Coughlan sending over his fourth conversion to leave it 43-0 at the break.
And there was no let-up for St Mary's as Ian Kinsley, Hugo Keane, Timoney and David O'Connor added further tries, two of which were converted by Coughlan.
