O'Donnell brace vital

Flanker Paul O'Donnell crossed for a brace of tries as Calasanctius College from Oranmore captured their second successive Connacht Junior Cup final at the Sportsground yesterday.
The Galway school, who won their first title last year, were always in control and O'Donnell got over for his first try after just three minutes.
That settled the champions and they increased their lead after 15 minutes when prop Tom Huxford got the touchdown. Rice College bounced back and they were rewarded four minutes later when scrum-half Ernan Geraghty crossed over in the left corner.
However, the reprieve was shortlived and O'Donnell increased the Galway side's lead seven minutes from the break with Darren Hennessy adding the conversion. The second half was scoreless as Calasanctius defended their lead and in the end ran out deserving winners.
