Full-back Simon Murphy scored 11 points, including the final try of the day, as Belvedere handed Temple Carrig a harsh welcome to the Leinster Junior Cup.

Elliot Campbell-Foley opened the scoring for Belvo and when the underdogs had James Clark sent to the sin-bin, Belvedere capitalised through Fergus O'Brien.

Two further tries from Daniel Hawinshaw and Eoin McAdimh then put the game beyond doubt with a 24-0 half-time lead.

Two minutes into the second-half, Murphy rounded off matters with a run from inside his own half to sum up his side's superiority.
