Wing Colm Driver was the inspiration behind Catholic University School's deserved victory at Donnybrook yesterday.

Driver was a menace, popping up wherever he saw fit to influence the game. He opened the scoring with a 17th-minute penalty and then converted a try by out-half Marc Hiney, who ran a superb support line onto Ruadhan Magee's perfect pass off the floor.

Newbridge wing Phil O'Neill outflanked the defence to touch down in first-half injury-time, with Peter Osbourne converting from the touchline to make it 10-7 at the break.

Hiney went over again in the 47th minute, with Driver converting.

A penalty from Osbourne reduced the deficit to seven points, but John McAllister sealed the win in the 64th minute, with John Jennings' late try proving too little too late.
