Cahill double puts Rockwell out of reach to deny battling Ard Scoil Ris

Rockwell set up a semi-final date with Castletroy with a hard-earned win over Ard Scoil Ris at Clanwilliam Park.

They went into the lead after 24 minutes with a try from Ross Mullane, which JJ Hanrahan converted. Jamie Gavin reduced the arrears by kicking a penalty as Rockwell led 7-3 at the break.

Luke Cahill put Rockwell further ahead with a try midway through the second half and Hanrahan added the conversion.

Three minutes from the end of normal time, Cahill went in for his second try.

Gavin was unsuccessful with a late penalty attempt for the Limerick school but in the follow-up, Peter McCann got in for a try which went unconverted.
