Ardscoil book final place despite late scare

ArdScoil Ris survived a late scare at Dooradoyle to secure a berth in the final. This semi-final looked destined for a replay when Castletroy were awarded a penalty two minutes from the end, but after lengthy deliberation the touch judges ruled that Stephen Power's effort had curled inches wide.

Stephen Fitzgerald had landed the opening penalty for Ardscoil after a number of close-in drives. Just after the restart Conor Linehan landed a superb penalty from 30 metres way out to the left to draw level but Fitzgerald landed the winning penalty on 46 minutes.
