Same again for Ireland ladies
WITH France recording a five-try 32-0 success over Italy last weekend and Ireland only getting a half of rugby under their belts before their clash with Wales was abandoned, visiting coach Philip Doyle knows the extent of the task that faces his side in Pau today.
Doyle has stuck with the same side that led 10-3 against the Welsh in Ashbourne -- a decision has yet to be made on the refixture of that clash.
"Thankfully after last week's performance, even if it was only 40 minutes long, we are able to name an unchanged XV and bench for this week's game," Doyle explained.
Ireland will be aiming to do better than they did in last year's tournament, when they won two of their five matches.
"France away is always a hard place to go and get a win, but the ladies are in a good space at the moment and will take that into the weekend," added Doyle.
"I am in no doubt that the ladies will put in a performance and raise their game in order to get where they want to be."
