Ryan switched to loosehead

Negotiations are understood to be still ongoing between Munster and the IRFU regarding the make-up of their playing roster for next season.

Interestingly, John Ryan, nominally a tighthead prop, is deputising as a loosehead for Munster in tonight's game against Scarlets. The former UCC player is believed to have impressed in training as a loosehead during the week and this has helped with the decision to part company with Du Preez.
