Rugby star Cian caught on camera with bed head
Rugby international Cian Healy may yet make the cut for Ireland's pre-Rugby World Cup friendly against England tomorrow week, but that hasn't stopped him having a bad hair day.
Cian visited Temple Street Children's Hospital to front their new Sleeptember fundraiser which runs throughout next month in aid of the hospital.
The Ireland and Leinster loosehead prop is encouraging the nation to tweet their early morning 'Bed-Head Selfie' by texting HOSPITAL to 50300 and donating €4 to the facility.
Tweeters can use the hashtags #Sleeptember #BedHeadSelfie or nominate a friend.
Cian was in top form when he visited the hospital and posed for fun selfies with Naoise Heather (9) from Balbriggan. He also had an impromptu pillow fight with Nathan Lewin (9) from Monaghan.
Backed by Irish bed manufacturer King Koil, Sleeptember is designed to promote sleep as a key aspect of good health. Visit Sleeptember.ie for details.
Cian is encouraging everyone to get involved.
"A seriously sick child has to be every parent's worst nightmare, so I would ask everyone to use their best 'bed-head look' to help Temple Street patients and their families," said Cian.
After recovering from injury, Cian described the health and renewal benefits of good sleep are important and he praised Sleeptember as "a great idea from King Koil".
