RFU pay discussions 'ongoing'

The RFU say discussions are "ongoing" regarding the pay structure for this summer's England tour to Australia and New Zealand.

It has been reported that players who feature in the match-day 22 for Tests against Australia in Perth and Sydney will receive a proposed £5,000 match fee, and possible £1,500 win bonus, on top of a reported basic tour fee of £7,800.

However, those among a 44-man squad who play in the midweek games only would not receive anything above a flat tour fee, according to the report.
