Buckley returns from knee injury to boost Connacht

DENIS Buckley looks certain to be available for Connacht when they take on reigning Pro12 champions the Ospreys this Friday at the Sportsgrounds.

The prop has been out of action with a medial ligament injury to his knee but has resumed training and should be available for selection.

The news wasn’t as good for George Naoupu, the versatile forward is waiting to see a specialist for his neck and is unlikely to be involved as soon as Friday night.

There were a number of players nursing bumps and bruises after last weekend’s disappointing 25-15 defeat to the Scarlets and Andre Browne underwent a scan today the results of which will determine his availability for selection.

Those returning to action last week, Gavin Duffy, Willie Faloon, Eoin McKeon, John Muldoon and Kyle Tonetti, all came through game time unscathed and are available.
