Paddy Wallace’s season is over after scan confirms he ruptured knee ligament
Ulster centre Paddy Wallace has been ruled out of Ulster’s end of season push for Heineken Cup and RaboDirect Pro12 glory after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The injury, which Wallace suffered in Ulster’s defeat to Glasgow at Scotsun last Friday, will need surgery and a considerable amount of rehabilitation.
There is little chance of Wallace playing any rugby until the beginning of next season.
The loss of Wallace is a big blow to Mark Anscombe’s plans as the versatile back offers cover right across the backline.
