NIGEL OWENS, whose late penalty against Jack McGrath launched New Zealand's stunning comeback last Sunday, will reunite himself with Leinster's 18 Irish internationals in the Heineken Cup next month.

The Welshman, who was at the centre of online abuse from Irish fans following his late decision at Lansdowne Road, will take charge of Leinster's match against Northampton at Franklin's Gardens on December 7. France's Jerome Garces will referee the return game at the Aviva Stadium the following weekend.

England's Greg Garner will take charge of Munster's home game against Perpignan on December 8, while Luke Pearce will referee Ulster against Treviso, with Italian Marius Mitrea officiating at the Toulouse v Connacht game.

Toulouse's French international back-row Gregory Lamboley will miss the double header against Connacht after the 31-year-old suffered a serious knee injury in domestic action at the weekend.

Clermont's hopes of returning to the final have been dealt a massive blow with the news that influential playmaking scrum-half Morgan Parra will be sidelined for the rest of the pool stages after rupturing a posterior cruciate ligament in France's weekend defeat to South Africa.
