LEINSTER will have a familiar face in charge of their final Heineken Cup Pool 6 match away to London Irish after the ERC released the refereeing appointments for rounds five and six yesterday, writes HUGH FARRELLY.
Nigel Owens, who was the referee when Leinster landed their first European title last May as well as being on the whistle for their semi-final victory over Munster and quarter-final triumph against Harlequins, will take charge at the Madejski Stadium.
England's Andrew Small will officiate the champions' round five match against Brive on Saturday week with another Englishman, Chris White, in charge of Munster's away game in Treviso the same day.
Frenchman Roman Poite has been appointed for Munster's showdown with Northampton at Thomond Park on January 22 while Ulster's final Pool 4 games at home to Edinburgh and away to Bath will be refereed by France's Christophe Berdos and Jerome Garces respectively.
