Ronan O'Gara will join an illustrious list of names when he is inducted into the Hall of Fame at next Wednesday's Irish Rugby Players' Awards.
The former out-half, who has helped guide Racing 92 to the Champions Cup final, will join the likes of David Humphreys and David Wallace in winning the prestigious award.
O'Gara won 128 caps for Ireland in his 17-year career that included two Heineken Cups, a Grand Slam as well as touring with the Lions three times.
"It was a very nice surprise to get the call from IRUPA to inform me that the past players of Ireland had voted for me to be inducted into the BNY Mellon Hall of Fame," O'Gara said. "I have had the honour to play with incredible players throughout my career and without their drive and support I would not have had the career that I did."
