Former Leinster hooker Aaron Dundon has been confirmed as the new forwards coach for Grenoble in the Top 14.

The French side, who have former Ireland international Bernard Jackson as their Director of Rugby, are in tenth in the French League table and reached the semi-finals of this season's European Challenge Cup, where they were defeated by Harlequins.

Dundon is somewhat of a surprise choice, because although he has top quality playing experience - having made 49 appearances for Leinster since 2010 - the front row player is only at the beginning of his coaching journey.

The Kiwi has previously spent time coaching with Newbridge College and Clontarf RFC, although Jackman may see something of himself in Dundon, as the Grenoble boss followed a similar route, joining the French club after stints with 'Tarf, St Michael's College and DCU.

The club announced the appointment on Twitter this afternoon with a post welcoming Dundon to the Alps club.
