A superb length-of-the-field try by Darragh O'Neill was the highlight of Young Munster's victory at Annacotty.
The move involved several players before O'Neill beat off three would-be tacklers for the try under the posts. Brian Haugh added the extra to put Young Munster 7-5 ahead with 31 minutes played.
UL Bohemian had gone in front on 11 minutes when Tommy O'Donnell charged down a clearance and his fellow back-row Ian Condell won the race to touch down.
Young Munster paid the price for indiscipline as JJ Hanrahan landed two penalties, but Haugh pulled one back just on half-time to leave it 11-10 to UL Bohs at the break.
Two more penalties from Haugh put the Cookies five points in front, and all the hosts could manage was one more kick from Hanrahan two minutes from the end.
