O'Mahony brothers do business

Munster 'A' 19
Aberavon 11
British and Irish Cup

Second-half tries from brothers Ronan and Barry O'Mahony enabled the defending champions overcome Aberavon in Tralee.

Munster had most of the possession early on, but it was Aberavon who took the lead in the 12th minute when Jamie Davies found winger Richard Thomas, whose delightful grubber kick saw him get in for an unconverted try.

The home side responded in the 32nd minute when Dave Foley's excellent block down resulted in Tralee local Danny Barnes feeding Corey Hircock to burst through for a try, adding to his two in last week's win over Plymouth. Jamie Davies kicked a penalty on the stroke of half-time to give Aberavon an 8-7 lead at the break, however.

Davies added another penalty just after the restart to increase the gap to 11-7, but Munster responded in the 52nd minute when the impressive Cian Bohane broke through the opposing defence before feeding Ronan O'Mahony to touch down under the posts, with Scott Deasy adding the extras.

Munster secured the win in the 64th minute when Deasy found Barry O'Mahony on the right wing, who stepped inside to give his side victory.
