O'Leary puts World Cup disappointment behind him

Tomas O'Leary put his World Cup disappointment behind him and returned to training with Munster yesterday morning.

The scrum-half is set to feature in the opening game of the Pro12 when they start the defence of their title against Newport Gwent Dragons in Cork on Saturday.

And John Hayes, whose glorious career is set to end in two months when he retires at the end of the World Cup, also trained with Munster in Limerick yesterday and is set to feature on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Ireland have dropped to eighth in the IRB world rankings on the back of their 20-9 loss to England on Saturday.

Ireland's fourth defeat in their World Cup warm-up matches, means Declan Kidney's men not only surrender their mantle as the leading northern hemisphere nation in the rankings but they also slide four places in total.
