Murphy insists connacht wary of step into unknown
Connacht stand-in skipper Frank Murphy says there is no chance of his side underestimating Italian part-timers Cavalieri Prato when they clash in the Amlin Challenge Cup on Saturday.
Connacht, semi-finalists last season, will be expected to romp home against a Prato side playing in Europe for the first time, having only made it into the top flight in Italy a couple of seasons ago.
"We know we will be favourites but we will just have to take that in our stride and go out there and do a good job," said Murphy (28).
"There is a fear of the unknown. We have seen just one video of them and going to play in Italy isn't always an easy thing to do. We will go there expecting to win but there is no danger of over-confidence."
The scrum-half said that while Connacht have made a decent start to the season, they feel there is plenty of room for improvement.
"The European competitions are always a welcome diversion, especially when you are heading to play new teams. It keeps things fresh but you can't lose sight of what has to be done," he added.
