Young Munster bid to kick on as title race hits fever pitch

Young Munster did not have any break in fixtures last weekend, and they will look to kick on with a win when they clash with bottom side Ballynahinch in the Ulster Bank League Division 1A at Tom Clifford Park tomorrow (2.30).

With their game in hand, the Cookies claimed a priceless 29-13 win over Galwegians to go back third in the standings ahead of Garryowen.

Garryowen will need a bonus point win over Galwegians at Crowley Park if they want to have any chance of overturning their league positions this time around. Cork Con can go fourth when they host Clontarf.

In 1B Shannon host UL Bohemians in an intriguing Limerick derby under lights at Thomond Park tonight (7.30). Shannon could go as high as fourth with a win as UL Bohs continue their fight against relegation - they are second from bottom, 11 points ahead of Belfast Harlequins. Dolphin host the northerners at Irish Independent Park tomorrow.

In 2A, UCC travel to take on Malone. Cashel are away to Naas. Nenagh Ormond host Banbridge, and Thomond are at home Corinthians. In 2B, Highfield are on the road against Dungannon. Sunday's Well are at home to Rainey OB.

Meanwhile in the bottom tier, Old Crescent are away to Boyne, Kanturk are at home to Bruff, and Midleton host Sligo.
