Women braced for Interpro title showdown
Munster will defend their Interprovincial title at Thomond Park tomorrow (2.30) in a winner-takes-all finale against Leinster.
Both sides remain undefeated in the championship as Munster bid for their 11th title, led by captain Niamh Briggs.
In their opening fixture Munster claimed an 8-3 win over Connacht at the Sportsground, with a Briggs penalty followed by an impressive first-half touchdown from Highfield hooker Amy Desmond.
Last Saturday, they secured an 43-0 win over Ulster at Thomond.
Briggs touched down to open the scoring after 10 minutes with further tries from Laura O'Mahony and Leah Lyons giving Munster a 17-0 advantage at half-time.
Munster added four more tries after the break via Niamh Kavanagh, Lyons, Heather O'Brien and Chloe Pearse to set up an exciting final day.
