There was no doubting who the performance of the week came from as Munster's Champions Cup rivals Glasgow Warriors tore Connacht to shreds in week one of the Pro12.

Gregor Townsend's side ran in six tries on their way to the victory at the Sportsground, with a solitary effort from Niyi Adeolokun the response from the home side.

Warriors will have no time to rest up after that win, though, as they host Leinster tomorrow afternoon in the first game to be played on their new artificial surface at Scotstoun.

Elsewhere, Munster's first European opponents Racing 92 moved to the top of the Top 14 standings with an impressive 28-14 home victory against Toulouse.

The side coached by Ronan O'Gara had Dan Carter's boot to thank for early comforts, as tries from Bernard Le Roux and Juan Imhoff saw them run out double-score winners.

Next up Racing 92 face a daunting trip to Clermont, so they will be mighty pleased to retain top spot after their fourth-round game.

Leicester Tigers were the talk of the town last week after they recovered from a 24-point deficit to go on and register a 38-31 win over Gloucester at Kingsholm.

JP Pietersen and Brendon O'Connor crossed for Leicester and Sam Harrison finished off the job late on, but they face a tough test tomorrow when they welcome Dai Young's Wasps to Welford Road.
