Transition year students from Villiers Secondary School, Limerick are taking part in a rugby programme culminating in them passing of their new knowledge and skills to the primary school pupils attending Milford National School.
Particular emphasis has been placed on the importance of physical literacy and how players learn through the fun element of sport. The programme is also designed to educated students on how to plan and deliver sessions for primary school pupils.
Over the last few weeks students have visited Milford NS, delivering sessions to fifth and sixth class pupils and is hoped this will continue in other primary schools.
