Tributes from around Europe were fitting

Limerick and Thomond Park is a special place on European Cup days, and the players and supporters are special people but last weekend was always going to top everything that went before.
However, it wasn't confined to Munster's home patch. It was great to see the whole of the rugby community remembering the life of Anthony Foley.
It would have been so tough for his wife Olive, sons Tony and Dan, his parents Brendan and Sheila, and sisters Rosie and Orlagh.
And you would hope that in time it will give them great solace when they look back at the tributes that poured in during the Champions Cup weekend.
The minutes of silence and applause were inevitable but to see Munster flags waved in Stade Marcel-Michelin, to hear the 'Fields of Athenry' sung in the Kingspan Stadium, Scarlets players don the No 8 on every shirt, Leinster players pay their special tribute in France and Connacht in Italy, it was so incredibly emotional.
When tough times befall the game we love, it always seems to come out fighting and it shows its true colours.
It was amazing the acknowledgements Axel got from all corners of the rugby world, but he would have been so happy to see his team go and win like that in Europe.
