The Future Is Bright: Tomás Quinlan (First year academy)
I was born in, and grew up in Cork. I first started playing rugby at the age of seven in Christian Brothers College primary school and then went on to play Junior Cup and Senior Cup schools rugby with them.
I was involved with the Munster underage set-up from U-17s to U-20s. I played Ireland U-19s and U-20s. I earned my first Munster 'A' cap in 2014, and I also featured for the Munster 7s during the summer. Apart from rugby, I also played hurling for a short period with the Glen Rovers, and played soccer with Leeds AFC, Cork.
Favourite Munster game: My favourite Munster game is the Heineken Cup game against Sale Sharks in 2006 at Thomond Park. It was a great night - atmosphere and result-wise.
Most memorable game I have played in: The 2014 U-20s All-Ireland final with Cork Con playing against Terenure and winning the Fraser McMullen Cup. Favourite ground that I have played in: I have always enjoying playing in Irish Independent Park because there is always a good atmosphere there. It also helps that it was the venue where we beat Leinster in the U-19 inter-provincial which was a great day out. My first game in the Cork venue was a Junior Cup final for Christians against Crescent in 2011 that we lost unfortunately. Playing in CBC's Lansdowne venue was also an unreal experience.
