I was born in Lucan in Dublin and moved to Cork when I was six years of age. I started playing rugby with Midleton RFC at the age of 12 and stayed with them until U-20 level where I transferred over to Cork Con. I started playing hurling and football for Aghada when I was seven, but was swiftly converted to rugby.

Favourite Munster game: Munster versus Leinster in Magners League in Thomond Park. This was most memorable as it was the first Munster game I went to and to top it off they had a great victory.

Most memorable game I have played in: It would have to be securing a win over Italy in Colorno and earning my first Irish cap for the U-18 Clubs.

Favourite ground: My first game in Musgrave Park in the Munster U-18 inter-provincial series against Ulster. I enjoyed playing in this ground the most because it is the home of Munster Rugby in Cork and I had watched so many games here as a child.
