The future is bright: John Madigan (Third year academy)

I am from Charleville and started playing rugby with Charleville RFC when I was seven years old. My father John and brother Brian both played with Munster so I got my interest from them and have been lucky enough to follow in their footsteps. I played with Charleville until I was 17 years old and then moved to Dolphin RFC for senior rugby. I started off playing in the back-row but moved to the second-row around the same time. I have represented Munster at U-18s and 20s level and played for Ireland U-18s also. I joined the academy in 2013 and now in my final year I recently signed a one-year development contract and am looking forward to getting back playing after rehabbing respective knee and shoulder injuries this season.
Favourite Munster game: I would have to say the 2006 Heineken Cup final in Cardiff.
Most memorable game: It was when I made my Munster debut starting against Treviso in the Pro12 earlier this season in Irish Independent Park.
Favourite ground: For the very reason of making my debut there I would have to say Irish Independent Park, but it is not the only reason as it is also where I play my club games with Dolphin and just enjoy running out there.
