The Future is Bright: Dan Goggin (2nd year academy)

I was born in Limerick and grew up around the corner from Thomond Park in Farrenshone. I started playing rugby with UL Bohs when I was five years old. Schools rugby in St Munchin's took over from the age of 16, and I played for three years with the Senior Cup team.
After school I made a move to Young Munster where I continue to play my club rugby. In my first year out of school I made the Ireland U-20s squad and featured in all Six Nations and Junior World Championship games that year. Currently in my second year of the academy, I play with the Ireland 7s team looking to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
Favourite Munster game: My favourite Munster game was in the Heineken Cup when Sale Sharks came to a packed-out Thomond Park! I remember the moment when Sebastien Chabal caught the ball and Paul O'Connell and another few forwards drove him back 30 metres, it was brilliant to witness.
Most memorable game I have played in: Playing in Eden Park in Auckland in the U-20s Junior World Championship was incredible in 2014, in particular lining out against the New Zealand U-20s for the 3rd/4th place play-off.
Favourite ground: Playing in Thomond Park where I grew up beside and wanting to play there my whole life is pretty special.
