I began playing rugby when I was six years old at Clonmel RFC with my brother David where my dad also coached the minis. Then I went to school in Rockwell College and played two years of Junior and Senior Cup rugby, winning the Senior Cup in March 2015. I now play my club rugby with Garryowen RFC. I have always played at out-half but have played 9 and 12 also. Last year was a busy one as I captained the Ireland Schools, went on to play in all of Munster's pre-season games, was part of the successful U-20s Interprovincial-winning squad and made my first Munster 'A' appearances in the British and Irish Cup.

Favourite Munster game: The match against Northampton in Thomond Park always stands out for me. We have been shown the clip of the final few minutes of that match many times in underage camps and it is a strong representation of what Munster Rugby is all about. I was in awe watching it on TV.

Most memorable game I have played in: Winning the Munster Schools Senior Cup with Rockwell College in March 2015. It was amazing winning the ultimate schools rugby prize in the province beside your best friends of five and six years. Running onto the pitch at the final whistle is something I will never forget.

Favourite ground: Thomond Park. I've watched so many great Munster performances on that pitch.
