Background: I live in Ballyhahill, Co Limerick near the Kerry border and I went to Tarbert Comprehensive School. I started playing rugby with Shannon Estuary and after my first year there I left to play with Young Munster - and I have been there for the last eight years.

Favourite Munster game: Munster v Northampton Saints in Thomond Park when Ronan O'Gara kicked the drop goal after 40-plus phases to win the game in the Heineken Cup. It was really unbelievable!

Most memorable game I have played in: My first senior start for Young Munster. Scrummaging against props that were six or seven years older than me was a challenge, and it was a big day for me both physically and mentally.

Favourite ground: It has to be Tom Clifford Park simply because on the day of a senior game there is always a big crowd cheering you on in rain, hail or sunshine.
